Christmas is a magical time and one that seems to waken our imagination and excitement.
That most wonderful time of year, Christmas, will soon be here once again, conjuring up images of red Santa suits, sprawling long white beards, sleighs, green elves, reindeers and angels galore.

For the masses who are throwing a traditional Christmas fancy dress party this year, your preparations will no doubt be in full swing.
There is so much choice with festive costumes that it’s difficult sometimes to decide which one to go for so let’s take a look at some beautiful Christmas costume classics .
- Elf: That much-loved film Elf is the reason why the Santa’s little helper Elf Costume
has soared in popularity. The outfit consists of trousers, jacket and an elf hat in christmas green and red colours. Add some elf slippers to finish off and, if you look around, you may find some that even have bells on. An ideal comfortable costume to wear for both kiddies

For the man who’s still a child at heart there are adult versions of this costume, too. Looks great with the large black eyes and nose. A little tip here – the suits don’t always come with a red nose, but you could always use your Comic Relief leftover or buy one at a clown accessories store.

- Angel: Your little ones will look heavenly and will certainly steal everyone’s hearts in any angel costume. This beautiful outfit will come with sparkly halo and wings edged in gold or silver. Always remember the comfort of the child wearing this costume so that, when they need their nap, they’ll be able to do so. TIP: A little gold or silver hair band or scrunchie is ideal if your child doesn’t get on with the halo.

And it’s great to wear a costume that people can recognize easily It can be really embarrassing if you’ve made a grand entrance at the Halloween party dressed in your costume and everyone wants to know who or what you are. Costumes are plentiful and you can take your pick of all the nasties and gruesome characters that make pretty unforgettable Halloween costumes.
Skeleton Halloween fancy dress
A quick look round at the choice in skeleton outfits and you’ll soon find yourself drawn to the grave groom skeleton zombie.
It’s similar to the James Bond Voodoo skeletons in Live and Let Die and it’s a frighteningly authentic Halloween fancy dress costume. It’s great quality and includes loads of detail.
A long black shirt with bone print and tattered vest and jacket. The tattered gauzy pants are worn over your own trousers to create the zombie style. The gloves, wide brimmed hat and red tie are all included.
Buy some black and white make-up for your face and treat yourself to the long walking cane and you have a fabulously scary zombie outfit.
If you fancy a less detailed Halloween fancy dress go for a plain black jumpsuit with bones imprinted on it, or find one with raised bones you can spray with a glow in the dark spray. Skeleton suits come with face masks and black hoods that cover your whole head. Your feet turn into skeleton bones by attaching shoe covers to your shoes.
Good old plain skeleton zombies make terrific Halloween costumes. These are dark, tattered costumes with skeleton faces and plenty of decay! They show exposed bones, protruding knee bones, full skeletal masks and have hoods that cover your face and head. Hands are covered by gloves with exposed finger bones. Can you smell the rot?
Invest in a spooky voice changer to disguise your voice
It comes with an ear piece and attached microphone. The box simply fits to your belt, so there’s no need to use your hands. The ghost sound will change your voice so no-one will know it’s you. If you wear the full skeleton costume with face mask you will have a full disguise.
Skeletons and zombies make fabulous group Halloween fancy dress costumes. Find some friends who are willing to dress up in a similar style and you have a walking graveyard of skeletons and zombies. Definitely a worthy prize winner on the night!
